Trevithick Day
Trevithick Day is an annual event celebrating Richard Trevithick, a British inventor and mining engineer, famous for creating the first-ever steam-driven vehicle, the ‘Puffing Devil’, in 1801.
Held in Camborne on the last Saturday of every April, expect to see plenty of steam engines as well as traditional craft stalls, fairground rides and other attractions.
Rattler Fest
Taking place from 25th to 26th April, Rattler Fest is an adults-only festival that encourages you to rediscover your youth while celebrating the very best of Cornish cider. As well as fun, games and music catering to a wide range of tastes, you can get involved in the Rattler Olympic Games or take a ride on the traditional fairground ride.
Obby Os
Arguably one of the best events in Cornwall in 2025 if you’re looking for something truly unique, Obby Os is believed to be one of the oldest surviving festivals in the UK. A celebration of the Celtic festival of ‘Beltane’, it marks the approach of the summer and features maypole dancing, folk music and much more.
Hosted in Padstow on 1st May, the event starts at 10 am when the ‘Blue Oss’ appears. The ‘Blue Oss’ is followed by the ‘Old Oss’ at 11 am before the main procession begins. Expect festivities to continue well into the night!
St Ives Food & Drink Festival
With sun, sea, music and some of the best food in Cornwall, the St Ives Food & Drink Festival held on 16-18th May is a must visit event for any ardent foodies.
As well as great food and chef demos, the festival hosts live music Sunset Sessions, with prices ranging from £35 for the whole weekend to £12-£15 for specific nights.
The Great Estate
The Great Estate Festival is a high-octane music festival hosted at Scorrier House on the edge of Redruth. From 30th May to 1st June, the estate opens its doors and encourages young and old to delight in great music, while also enjoying quality entertainment, having a go at arts and crafts or perusing quirky independent stalls.
Royal Cornwall Show
One of the best events in Cornwall in 2025, the Royal Cornwall Show, showcases the best of Cornish agriculture, produce, shopping and more. Expect traditional livestock and showjumping competitions, freestyle motorcross demonstrations, RAF Falcons displays and the iconic Grand Parade.
Taking place from 5th to 7th June, adult tickets cost £25, children cost £6 and family tickets are available.
Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival
Experience traditional Cornish Sea shanties at this iconic Cornish event from 13th to 15th June. Free to attend; it’s the largest free nautical music and song festival in Europe.
Rock Oyster Festival
Taking place from 24th to 27th July on the grounds of Dinham House on the banks of the Camel Estuary in Cornwall, the Rock Oyster Festival promises culinary delights alongside top-notch music. Ministry of Sound Classical, Rag’n’Bone Man, and UB40 are all confirmed headline acts for 2025.
Boardmasters
One of the most iconic music and surf events in Cornwall, in 2025, Boardmasters returns on the 6th to 10th August. Confirmed acts include Raye, The Prodigy, Nelly Furtado, Kaiser Chiefs and Natasha Bedingfield.
Hosted on the cliff-top of Watergate Bay in Newquay, enjoy great music and spectacular coastal views. Or head down to Fistral Beach and catch some top-notch surfing in the UK’s biggest surf competition.
Eden Sessions
Hosted at the iconic Eden Project, the Eden Sessions are a series of live music events taking place across the summer. So far, confirmed acts include Texas, The Script, Gary Barlow, and Madness.
